Personal Care Assistants are required for woman living in family home in Dundee. To Assist with personal care and daily living tasks. They must have good communication skills. Females only need apply as permitted under Schedule 9, part 1 of the Equality Act 2010.

You will be joining an already established team and will be required for the weekend. The hours are Saturday and Sunday 10am – 12 noon and 10pm – 11pm.  You must also be available to cover through the week if one of the other PA’s are sick or on holiday.

Hourly rate: £10.32 per hour.

The Self-directed Support Service exists to support people to employ their own Personal Assistants and/or purchase services using direct payments. As an organisation we are not the employer, but assist people to look for staff if they need them. If you are employed, your contract will be with the person in receipt of Option 1 (Direct Payment) and not with the Self-directed Support Service.

Role Summary

To provide general administration and reception support to the Centre, along with support for internal and external meeting arrangements

Job Description

  • Provide an administration service for the Centre’s staff and projects, including filing, photocopying, typing correspondence, monitoring supplies of stationery, leaflets etc
  • Assist in providing reception cover for the Centre on a rota basis, which will include welcoming and helping visitors to the Centre, answering telephone and directing calls as appropriate or taking accurate messages, taking room bookings and recording these in the diary and electronic database
  • Set up of meeting rooms as required on a daily basis, including IT provision, hospitality, and ensuring refreshment supplies are maintained.
  • Record referrals to the Centre on a central database and send out information about the Centre to the people who have been referred
  • Undertake appropriate training and self-development under the supervision of the line manager

Person Spec 

Essential Skills/Abilities – competent computer/keyboard skills, excellent communication skills, ability to act on direction, friendly and enthusiastic.

Desirable Skills/Abilities – knowledge of spreadsheet and database packages, experience of dealing with the public, telephone skills, ability to work as part of a team
