Setting the Standard for Quality – Dundee Carers Centre awarded PQASSO Level 2 Award

This month Dundee Carers Centre was awarded the PQASSO Level 2 quality mark. PQASSO is a leading quality standard developed for the third sector, and covers all aspects of an organisation, including planning, governance, leadership and management to help run third sector organisations more effectively and efficiently.

Lucinda Godfrey, Chief Executive Officer said “The PQASSO standards set out what is necessary to have in place in order to ensure we have sound governance practices, financial and risk management procedures and a robust system for measuring our outcomes. The Centre has worked long and hard to gain this accreditation. Around two hundred quality indicators had to be met, coupled with an on-site evaluation. Every business process was examined thoroughly, from communications to planning, monitoring and evaluation.  PQASSO Level 2 forms part of our on-going commitment to deliver the best quality for carers, disabled people, their families and our supporters.”

“This is a tremendous achievement for everyone at Dundee Carers Centre and is recognition of the hard work and thoroughness evident in the work of the Centre” said Fraser Patrick, Convenor of Dundee Carers Centre.
