Events and Activities

We also run a programme of groups and activities for carers and the people they care for. For more information about any of these, please click on the links to the left.

Carers Interest Network

Dundee Carers Centre hosts Carer Interest Network gathering bringing together organisations providing targeted and generic support to unpaid carers across Dundee. The gathering provides organisations with the opportunity to discuss the future direction of work supporting carers, to increase awareness, identification and availability of information to carers, with contribution to discussions about the development of multi-agency guidance and making more information available online to carers via a dedicated web resource.

For more information contact Megan Clark on 01382 200422.

Carers (Scotland) Act 2016 Workforce Training

We are also working alongside partners in Health & Social Care to ensure that workers are able to undertake their new responsibilities. We are running weekly sessions running until end of March 2018 so that assessors understand the new law and prepare good quality Adult Carer Support Plans. These sessions have enabled good discussions about the upcoming changes and what they mean for staff.
