Make Caring Visible

Carers Week 2020

Locality Focus, Caring in our Communities

Our Plan for Carer's Week 2020

For Carer’s Week 2020, organisations that support carers were given the theme  “Make Caring Visible”.  With the current circumstances this was additionally challenging, especially when our support team were no longer able to meet carers in person.

We decided on the run up to carers week that we would have to think differently.  Towards the tail-end of last year, the carers support team moved to a locality focused model.  So we thought that this would be a great opportunity to promote, via mediums/platforms that we have adapted to during the covid-19 pandemic.

Carers Survey

We launched this year’s campaign with the Carer’s Survey, which was a simple Survey Monkey Questionnaire that asked Carers what it was like Caring in their communities and amenities available in their area that made their role easier.

The results of the survey will be announced live at the Virtual Hub on Wednesday 10th June at 10am.

Carers of Dundee E-Book

For Carers Week 2020, Carers of Dundee have launched an ebook edition of Carers of Dundee E-News, which is a special edition of their weekly e-newsletter that was launched at the beginning of lockdown.  There is also an audible version for those that may be visually impaired.
