Debate on Wrap-Around Care for Children with Additional Support Needs

Michael Marra MSP is leading a debate in the Scottish Parliament on Thursday 8th May about wraparound care for children with Additional Support Needs. Members from all the major parties will speak and then the relevant Scottish Government Minister will have to respond.

This debate follows a roundtable which Michael hosted with families, service providers and other stakeholders in September 2024, which Dundee Carers Centre contributed to.

One way to build momentum for the debate is if constituents who are impacted email their MSPs in advance of the debate, asking them to speak in the debate, or at the very least attend.

Michael Marra has drafted an email template that people can use, you can download it here

We have also worked with Shared Care Scotland to produce two infographics which can be used on social media to highlight the need for this support for children with additonal support needs and their carers: They can be downloaded below, or you can repost from ours and Shared Care Scotland’s social media platforms.  Please post and tag in your local MSP.
