Meet the Counselling Team! Fiona Singer
We would like to give everyone an opportunity to meet our new counselling team by introducing each member and getting a quick summary of their personal and professional background.
Name: Fiona Singer
What made you get involved as a counsellor at the carers centre:
I was interested in doing my counselling placement at Dundee Carers Centre as I am a carer for my mother-in-law who has MS and also looked after my Mum who had COPD before she died. I see carers working tirelessly to look after their loved ones without a thought for their own physical and mental wellbeing. It has been wonderful to offer them space to breath, talk and take time unrushed to work through other challenges they may have.
Random Fact about me:
I have been a midwife for 22 years.
I have climbed 50 Munroe’s and still bagging even after breaking my leg on a mountain in 2019.
