State of Caring Survey 2025 Now Live
The State of Caring Survey 2025 has officially launched — and we’re encouraging all unpaid carers and former carers to take part.
This annual survey, run by Carers UK, is the largest and most comprehensive of its kind in the UK. It gathers vital insights into the experiences and challenges faced by unpaid carers, helping to shape national and local policies that affect carers’ lives.
Why It Matters
Your voice matters. Last year, carers’ responses helped to:
- Campaign for an increase to the Carer’s Allowance earnings limit
- Influence the Employment Rights Bill to support working carers
- Push for better support in the NHS 10-Year Plan
- Highlight the financial struggles of older carers
- Raise awareness of unpaid caring on national TV, radio, and in the press
These real-life stories and statistics are used by Carers UK, government bodies, local authorities, and health and social care services to advocate for better support for carers across the UK.
