Dundee Carers Centre are extremely grateful to receive books/gifts for 400 + young carers in Dundee thanks to the generosity of members of the public and the organising that goes on behind it by Waterstones, Leisure & Culture and Dundee Libraries.

This  marks 10 years that The Wish Tree project has been running, and every year we are overwhelmed by the continued generosity of people.
Every young person we support will receive a book on Christmas day thanks to this project, and we are always grateful to the people who make it happen, who volunteer their time to wrap each book.

This is our 10th year at doing this, and once again we are amazed at the response we have received, and we can’t thank members of the public enough for their generosity and enthusiasm. The thoughtfulness and effort that has gone into matching what each young person has said they liked or are interested in and the members of the public, sometimes with some help from Waterstones staff, match it up perfectly, it is very moving. It is lovely to envisage the young people opening something that is really special to them, their wish has been granted.
