Dundee Carers Centre Attends Royal Garden Party

We were honoured to attend the Royal Garden Party in the Palace of Holyroodhouse Gardens on 30 June.

Hosted by Buckingham Palace, the event brought together guests from charities, voluntary organisations, NHS services, emergency services, veterans’ organisations and community groups from across Scotland.

Guests were welcomed by a pipe band and had the opportunity to watch King Charles III, Queen Camilla and Prince Edward meet attendees throughout the gardens. The event also provided an opportunity to speak with representatives from other organisations and share information about the support available to unpaid carers.

One staff member said:

“It was an opportunity to meet other voluntary organisations and charities across Scotland to share what we do at the carers centre and to learn about other services across Scotland. We spoke to a lot of inspirational people and were able to get the word out about the carers centre further and wider. It was a lovely day and we were grateful to have an experience like this.”

It was a memorable day and a fantastic opportunity to raise awareness of the work of Dundee Carers Centre while connecting with organisations making a difference in communities across Scotland.
