We are thrilled to announce the launch of the Dundee Carers Centre Strategy 2024-28.

Our new strategy sets out an ambitious future for our charity, as we build on our existing strengths as a launchpad for confronting challenges and exploring new opportunities.

Neil Campbell, Chief Executive Office of Dundee Carers Centre said:

I’m delighted to launch and share Dundee Carers Centre new strategy for 2024-2028. Unpaid carers of all ages, disabled people and their families will remain at the heart of everything we do. Our new strategy sets out an ambitious future for our charity, as we build on our existing strengths as a launchpad for confronting challenges and exploring new opportunities.

In 2023, we supported more unpaid carers than in any previous year, and our new strategy has been developed in the context of increased demand for our services, but also as charities across the third sector face reduced investment and rising costs. We remain committed to providing accessible high-quality local services, supported by a dedicated team of staff and volunteers, and over the next 4-years we will continue to develop our services and secure our future sustainability.

I am grateful to everyone who has been involved in helping us shape this strategy – it has not been created in isolation but collaboratively with unpaid carers of all ages, disabled people, and our key partners. This strategy is rooted in our values, because we care, and reflects our aspiration to improve the lives of local unpaid carers and disabled people, ensuring we amplify their voices to attain positive and long-lasting change.
