As part of Book Week 2024, we are thrilled to invite local people to a special event hosted by the Dundee Carers Centre’s Creative Writing Group, as they launch their first collection of writing: ‘On The Map’.

The event takes place on Monday, 18 November 2024, from 4:00 pm – 6:30 pm at Dundee Central Library in the Wellgate Shopping Centre.

Be among the first to hear members of the Creative Writing Group read selections from ‘On The Map’, a collection filled with moving and unique perspectives of caregiving. Following the reading, author Emily Utter, will read from her novel-in-progress, ‘The Night Room’ then provide a short Q&A offering the audience a chance to dive deeper into her creative process and inspirations.

Each guest will also receive a free copy of ‘On The Map’ to take home as a keepsake of the event.

This event is open to everyone – carers are also welcome to bring along the person they care for. If you have specific access needs, please let us know when you register. We’re also able to help with travel costs for anyone coming from within Dundee—just mention this when booking your spot.
