Mental Health Awareness Week 15-21 May 23
Mental Health Awareness Week – 15 – 21 May 2023
The theme for Mental Health Awareness Week 2023 is “Anxiety”
Anxiety is a common emotion that we will all experience at some point in our lives. Nearly 6% of carers say they have a long-term mental health problem, compared with 4% of non carers. Nearly 4% of young carers (aged under 25) said that they had a mental health condition compared with just over 1% of people in this age group who were not carers.
To celebrate and raise awareness of Mental Health Awareness Week, we have a number of activities and events taking place:
15- 21 May
Social Media Takeover
Look out on our social media channels throughout the week to see what carers have to say who have accessed mental health support at our centre, tips and techniques for managing your anxiety and information on resources and services.
