Wish Tree 2024

Are you looking for a way to spread holiday cheer and make a real difference in the lives of young carers in Dundee? If so, the Wish Tree is making a welcome return this Christmas.

The Dundee Carers Centre has once again partnered with Leisure and Culture Dundee’s Children’s Libraries Services and Waterstones Dundee to give local people the chance to buy books and other gifts for young carers this Christmas.

The Wish Tree will be displayed at Waterstones Dundee from Friday, 15th November, until Sunday, 15th December.

Each tag on the tree represents a young carer we support. Customers can pick a tag and purchase a gift based on the information provided. Volunteers will then wrap the gifts, that are sent to young carers in time for Christmas.

This year, we have seen an increase in the number of young carers identified in Dundee, making the Wish Tree more important than ever. It offers young carers a chance to take a break from their caring responsibilities.

We would like to give a huge shoutout to Elaine, Moira and their volunteers, along with Lesley and the entire team at Waterstones Dundee for making the Wish Tree possible again this year.
